Files can be uploaded and generated in different locations of the application. However, with the integrated FILE MANAGEMENT and its numerous query options, a good overview of all files in the database is guaranteed. The uploaded or generated files can be categorized and linked to entities or other objects within the system. All changes to the metadata of a file, such as file type, date, subject, status or comment, are recorded in a history. Reading and writing of physical files is controlled via a Windows file service with which all applications of the software solution communicate. The file meta data is stored in the database and only links to the stored file in order to improve performance and security.
